Take out the trash #3: December 2014 and January 2015 empties (and favorites)

Hello beauties and welcome back to another installment of me showing and telling the beauty products I finished this past period: it's time to take out the trash! Literally this time since we're moving on Saturday, it's about time to get my empties out and write this post up!

It's been a good few months for cleansers since I finished my Garnier Micellar Water,  The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil and the La Roche Posay Effaclar Cleansing Gel. these compose altogether my complete cleansing routine: micellar water for when I'm lazy or have only little makeup, oil for a full face (foundation, concealer, eye makeup) and waterproof mascara, and I always finish with the Effaclar cleanser to treat my oily skin, works wonders I tell you! I also went through my eye cream combo: Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado was my day cream and the Kiehl's Line Reducing Eye Brightening Concentrate was my night treatment. I got these two back in June (read about my first experience at Kiehl's here) and have been very happy with the two for the hydration but haven't seen any miraculous effects so I'm trying something new nowadays and might repurchase the Creamy Eye Treatment sometime. Finally for skincare I finished my L'Oreal Triple Active Night cream, nothing special to report, just a good nutritious cream, and my first mini size of the Lancome Advance Genefique serum I loved this serum, felt really great and absorbed very fast leaving my skin more plump and glowing, but unfortunately it is too expensive and I found a good enough dupe in the L'Oreal Youth Serum (you can read more about it here).

Two concealers and two mascaras bite the dust on the makeup front and they're all my favorites. No surprise in finding another tube of the Maybelline Fit Me concealer in the pile, there was one in the last empties as well and I use it religiously. I haven't found anything as good at the drugstore but the closest was the Bourjois CC Eye Cream with just slightly less coverage but a great creamy consistency. The two mascaras are my go to duo, I start first with a volumizing one, Maybelline The Falsies Flared and then go in with the L'Oreal Telescopic Waterproof to lengthen and make sure the mascara stays on all day. I already repurchased the latter and am trying another volumizing one at the moment.

Body and Hair care:

Not much news on this side, since I only finished my two holy grails Dove Summer Glow Body Lotion and L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil for colored hair. These two come with me everywhere, gym, home, holiday, they're just incredible. The body lotion is a fool proof self tanner that gives a very light healthy tint to the skin that just makes me look more human and less mozzarella. The hair oil can be used on wet or dry hair and it helps me keep my (too) long hair hydrated day by day and adds some shine which I'm always happy about. Final product I finally finished is the Syoss 3in1 Restore Intense Treatment Cream. I really liked this mask and I usually put this on in the morning before I go work out at the gym so it acts over an hour and then I wash it off in the shower. It does a great job of deep conditioning and I'm looking for it in the drugstores, but haven't succeeded in repurchasing it.

So here are my skincare, makeup and overall beauty empties of the past two months. I hope these mini reviews are helpful if you were looking to purchase some of these products. I really do love them all. And since there are many of my favorites in this post, and due to my ski holiday which didn't leave me much makeup to wear, there won;t be a favorites post this month.

Have you tried any of these products? Do you love them as well?
