Skin Care Monday: Vichy Normaderm Night Detox
Welcome back to Skin Care Monday!
I am speaking to all my oily girls out there today because I found the solution to "the shiny morning face".
A while ago I had managed to quench my skin with The Body Shop Overnight Serum-in-Oil (you can read my thoughts here) and this really helped balance my skin so it produced less oil during the night, but there's no cheating on the skin type, and my t-zone in the morning is still a slippery slope. I finally came across a video of the all-knowing Caroline Hirons in which she recommended the Vichy Normaderm Night Detox for these cases. This treatment contains a combination of Perlite and absorbing powders to absorb the excess oil produced by your skin during the night, Eperuline, LHA and Hepes and Salicylic Acid to battle against all those unwanted free radicals, bacteria and dead skin cells that clog pores and lead to breakouts. Other than the immediate benefits, it claims to work in the long run at refining the pores and reducing the oil production altogether. Sounds perfect right?
With all these promises in mind I set out to try it for the past four weeks and I can say so happy about it! I apply it only on my t-zone, while I keep using the Overnight serum on the rest of my face. This gives me the best feeling skin in the morning, it's hydrated and not oily at the same time. I haven't seen an effect on my pores yet, but overall anything that keeps my skin clear and prevents it from looking like a shiny mess is definitely a welcome addition to my skin care routine!
You can find this on Mijn Huid Online for 14€ here in The Netherlands and they always have great discounts on french pharmacy products, and and on Feelunique for 20€.
Have you tried anything from Vichy?
