Fall Night Out: Burgundy Smokey Eye

Today I want to show you my favorite evening look for fall. I am really loving deep burgundy shades this fall and this makeup is my evening go-to look! It gives nice depth, still keeping away from the classic brown/black smoky eyes which I believe don't look good on my eye shape.

For this look I started with priming my lids with a cream eye shadow, I used one burgundy from Elf, to have a dark base that intensifies the look.
The 4 shades of eye shadow I used are:

  1. Shimma Shimma by Makeup Geek in the inner corner of the eye as a highlight;
  2. Rust by NYX on the lid;
  3. Mocha by Makeup Geek in the outer v to create depth;
  4. Bitten by Makeup Geek in the crease and smoked out.
To complete the eyes I used a dark brown pencil eyeliner on the lash line and A LOT of mascara!

I realize I normally don´t talk much about the base in these posts. Let me know if you want me to include it more or shall I rather do a separate post for it?

I hope you liked the look and will try it out sometime.
Until next time!
