Fall Colors: an Introduction and the green look

Fall 2013 colors by Pantone
After enjoying a bit of sun and warmth in Spain, being back in the Netherlands makes me realize that fall is definitely here and it's not going anywhere. Happy with my new winter jacket, it's time to change gears in the wardrobe and makeup collection.

For inspiration I took the latest Pantone color chart and was happy to see how the new season takes some colors from summer and translates them to fit colder weather. Starting from the Emerald, this recalls the teal we had everywhere in summer, just like the Koi and Vivacious remind of coral. And of course we have the darker colors like the purple Acai, the green Deep Lichen Green, the grey Turbulence and the brown Carafe. Overall I am super excited of these colors and want to create looks that go with each of these colors.

To start off, today I wanted to show you a look that takes the greens from fall and the gold of summer to create an easy wearable eye look.

For this look I used:

  • On the eyelid green shimmer marked as "Eyelid" from the Wet n Wild Comfort Zone palette
  • In the crease and lower lash line a darker green marked "Eyelid" from the Wet n Wild Cool as Cucumber palette
  • As inner corner highlight Shade 6 (gold) from the MUA Undressed Palette.

Wet n Wild palettes used for this look
To complete the look I used a brown liquid eyeliner, my Rimmel Retro mascara and Rimmel Kate 19 for a nude lip.

I hope this will inspire you in this new season together with the looks to come.
Until next time!
